The wonderful -and famous - arrangement of America the Beautiful by Carmon Dragon is published in a variety of forms by the Sam Fox Publishing Company. With this "publication", the transcription for 12 trumpets of that arrangement is seen in public for the first time and is proudly offered free of charge to all who cherish the aspirations of freedom as exemplified by the United States of America. It has been used to telling effect in several public forums, including the Day of Prayer gathering of over 5000 people at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio on Friday, September 14, 2001, where the response to the work was an immediate and emotional standing ovation with extended applause. It is a very powerful piece. Difficulty: 4 out of 9.

I am grateful to the people at Sam Fox for permission to present Mr. Dragon's arrangement in this transcription and at no cost.

The arrangement of The Star Spangled Banner is an expansion of the 5-6 trumpet version currently published by Triplo Press of Oxford, Ohio, and is presented here with America the Beautiful, again as a patriotic gesture. Difficulty: 3 out of 9, except for two descant parts, which raises the difficulty to a 4.
