A Thousand Angry Bees is funk/rock-oriented work with a James Brown funk feel comprising of three groups of four players each, with each group having its own themes that interact with one another. Lots of fun to play, with stylistic rhythmic patterns, interesting lines and some fancy finger work.

A special setting for 10 or 12 trumpets of the famous work for voices, this is a beautiful, warm, and lush piece that is easy to play, with phrases natural and flowing. For six B-flat trumpets, four flugelhorns, and two optional B-flat piccolo trumpets. The two optional piccolo parts are not demanding at all (only one high D), but are there for color and add to the emotional impact of this setting.

From Sacrae Symphoniae (1597). An excellent and very effective transcription of this wonderfully majestic and inspirational (and not too difficult) work. Stylistic articulation and dynamics, as usual in these types of pieces, are musts. For three choirs of four B-flat trumpets each.

An excellent and fun arrangement for both player and audience of this classic march. Inspired by the use of the march in the movie, "Bridge on the River Kwai," mouthpieces replace the iconic whistling introduced in the movie. The recording says it all. Really really fun with an infectious feel.

A terrifically fun piece to play with the usual technical challenges associated with this piece. Clever doublings and innovative writing with tricky and effective dovetailing. A GREAT closer. The excellent overdub attached is by Minneapolis trumpeter and educator Shannon Curtis.

FANFARE FOR TRUMPETS is a study of nine short melodic snippits presented separately in echo, traded between two trumpet quartets and a flugelhorn quartet, developed, fragmented and piled up on top of one another in this most unusual and fascinating composition. The piece is a challenge in counting, style, and dynamics for the players, and a crowd pleaser that easily holds the audience's attention.

The fanfare to herald the coronation ceremony of Edward VII and Alexandra of Denmark as Emperor and Empress of India held in Delhi, India on January 1, 1903. Classic imperial elegance and majesty without being overly difficult. A very impressive and awe inspiring piece.

A beautifully transcribed version of the famous Grand March, complete with five choirs of four B-flat trumpets each. Very majestic. Written for and performed as the finale at the 2016 International Trumpet Guild Conference Festival of Trumpets. This recording is by the Twin Cities Trumpet Ensemble in concert.

The ever-popular traditional Israeli song of celebration. Excellent and infectious spirit. Great for holiday seasons and celebratory/festive occasions. Also great as an encore. Really fun to play. RE the bass trumpet thing: Slip in a euphonium in its place and it will work fine. The heaviness of the bass in the slow sections as the piece gets going really makes the piece dramatic.

One of Henry Fillmore's most famous and fun marches. Four B-flat piccolo trumpets, 10 B-flat trumpets, and two flugelhorns. Great fun to play. Two obligatos for the trio section are provided: Fillmore's original and a special trumpet obligato by the transcriber (the latter turns the difficulty rating to a 7, but what a challenge :-) The microphone icon on the left is the full recording with Fillmore's original obligato, which is a lot easier to play than it sounds. The microphone on the right is the trio section of the march with the trumpet obligato.

The four flugelhorn parts add depth and padding to the sound. In this conception of the anthem, it is to start out symbolizing a country alone, quiet but iron-willed, clear of mind, determined and resolved, to be quickly joined by more and more forces as the piece progresses, building to a climax of strength, unity, and defiance. A beautiful and colorfully arranged piece for solo trumpet. Jazz oriented chords and lots of color underlie a very lyrical melody and intertwining lines. One of the trumpet classics. For solo trumpet in Bb, three piccolo trumpets in Bb, two Eb trumpets, four Bb trumpets, four flugelhorns, and optional but highly recommended low brass part (originally written for bass trumpet), and optional percussion. The wide variety of tone colors in this piece is achieved by careful and conscious unison doublings of lines between the differently pitched instruments, so it is very important that all the parts are covered, each with the instruments of designated pitches. A terrific crowd pleaser and not very tough on the soloist (grade 4). The piece is set at difficulty grade 6 because of the accompaniment.

Edited for 3 C trumpets, 9 B-flat trumpets and bass trumpet (trombone can substitute). One of the best of the classic pieces for trumpet ensemble. All of the elements are here: excellent lines, challenging interplay, great rhythmic vitality, and harmonic interest. Challenging for every player.

Seven short intradas in the late Renaissance dance style originally transcribed by Andrew Dziuk for six trumpets, edited here for two antiphonal groups of six like-pitched trumpets. Dziuk's original transcription can be found in the Triplo Press Catalogue as TRP-139.

The third movement from Holst's Second Suite in F for Military Band. For one Eb trumpet, four Bb trumpets, four flugelhorns, two bass trumpets, and optional anvil. Short, spirited, and fun to play. Lots of color. The bass trumpet parts can be played on flugelhorns.

A very exciting, colorful and highly effective transcription of this iconic movie theme. Written for two Bb piccolo trumpets, six Bb trumpets, three flugelhorns and percussion (tympani, snare drum, cymbals, triangle and bass drum). There is also a part for bass trumpet that can substitute for flugelhorn 3.

This is an exact copy of the 8 original trumpet parts (4 orchestra and 4 antiphonal) with 4 filler parts added. A very successful and popular arrangement. A very fun an effective work. Technical demands in the melody line are what you would expect in this very famous piece, and the line is beautifully placed on E-flat trumpets. Playing the piece on the horns listed has a great effect on color, and a great - and fun - challenge for the players.
The other surprise with this arrangement is the percussion section, played by three trumpet players using their instruments to simulate the typewriter keystrokes, carriage bell and carriage return. The piece can be played in the traditional manner with an actual typewriter (thus 13 rather than 16 trumpeters), but the other way is so much more fun...
