An up-tempo, straight eighth based Latin tune much in the style of Chick Corea’s “Spain” with big band accompaniment (parts for five saxophones, four in-section trumpets, four trombones, and rhythm section). Its success relies on contrapuntal melodies, angular rhythms, some dissonant /piercing harmonic clusters, and a wide dynamic range.
